In October 2002 we travelled to Andalucia, Spain. Andalucia is a diverse and
colorful region, that, as the maps show, balances like the ballet toe of Europe
upon the tip of Africa. Our first stop was a town called Bubión in
the mountainous Alpujarras region. This photo is from our hotel looking south
to the Mediterranean and Morocco. Accessible only by tiny roads that wind
high into the Sierra Nevada mountains, Las Alpujarras is remote and magical.
