On April 24, 2004 we took the train from Paris to Belgium to watch Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Also known as La Doyenne, LBL was first raced in 1892. This is the entrance to the Palais des Prince Evêques, where the teams were introduced the day before the race. As the sign makes clear, the Liègois are proud that the 2004 Tour de France starts from their ancient city.
